Today’s the day my recipe for braciole was featured in the Scranton Times today! I was so honored to have my recipe chosen as the winner of the “Local Flavor” contest. And, I had a great time preparing the dish for Josh and Linda (the reporter and photographer)!
If you’d like to see the recipe, please visit the Times’ website — it’s all there for you, complete with photos!
Thank you to Josh McAuliffe for taking my storing and spinning it into such a great article!
And, thank you to all of my great friends and everyone who has sent along their congratulations!
This recipe was also included in our cookbook, Inspirations.

congratulations!
Nice Article! In my family we add sausage to the stuffing of the braciole…it is a bit heavier but delicious!
Wow, Nikki! That sounds fantastic! I’m going to try that the next time I make my braciole! Thanks for the great suggestion!
Hey everyone…if you’re planning to make this braciole, make sure you ask your butcher for top round, not ribeye. The article had the wrong cut of meat listed.
And, once again, I’ll make a shameless plug (because it’s my blog and I can!) for Bosak’s Choice Meats in Olyphant (on the Burke Bypass). They are really great there! You won’t be disappointed!
Thank you for sharing your link to this recipe on the TOH facebook page. I was pleasantly surprised that you are in my local area too!(I’m in Pittston!) Hello Neighbor! I recall seeing the article too- small world!
Hi Amy! It’s a small world, isn’t it?!?! So nice to “bump” into another NEPA local (and TOH fan!) here!
Thanks for reading!
